Junk Food Ban On TV

Due to the rising rate of obesity in children advertising foods that are high in fat, salt and sugar (HFSS) have been banned from advertising on children’s channels.

HFSS has dropped by a third since 2005 regulator Ofcom have found, restrictions on adverts for HFSS started in 2007.

Despite adverts on television being regulated adverts in print media have increased.
