Is Hair Dye Safe?

With so many different hair dyes to choose from it’s not hard to see that we are spoilt for choice. Although they advise you to do a patch test first, many will agree that they just don’t bother. If you go to a professional hair salon they always perform a patch test first to make sure you don’t have a bad reaction to the hair dye chemicals. You may have been dying your hair for years but this doesn’t mean that all hair dye products use the same chemicals. By not performing a simple patch test 48 hours prior to dying hair you could have severe hair loss or end up bald.

I've just bought a new brand of hair dye I have never used should I have a patch test even though I have dyed my hair many times before?
