Chin plastic surgery is still not that popular as there isn’t that much of a demand for it, as you guessed it the only answer to get an aesthetic pleasing chin reduction is surgery. - If it sounds painful that’s because it is, your chin needs to be cut open and the bone is then chiselled away or sawn of depending on the size and shape. There is a huge chance of scarring and even feeling disappointed with your new look.
Unfortunately there are some people who just cannot bear to look at their chin, nowadays when visiting a surgeon you can have a digitally enhanced picture of what you would look like if surgery was performed. This can be very useful as there are some people who would rather live with their flaws then remove then.
A well known celebrity with a prominent chin was recently in a program to see if changing their looks with computer software would make a difference. The star in question was Reese Witherspoon who had her face digitally enhanced (Reese is well known for starring in Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama) a photo of her before and after digitally reducing her chin was shown. The conclusion was although her face looked smaller she just didn’t look the same and people love her quirky look by taking away her quirkiness she just wasn’t the same.
